Land Use and Planning
Services
Kaup & Shultz has extensive experience with the entire land use
approval process, including planning, zoning and subdivision
regulations. Both Jim and Mike have drafted numerous land
use regulations for city and county governments. They can
help you with a comprehensive rewrite of your existing
regulations or help you draft new regulations.
The firm also has substantial experience with annexations. Mike
Shultz has been involved in several, large-scale and
controversial annexations in Johnson County, and helped the
City of Topeka with a comprehensive annexation plan. Mike and
Jim developed a comprehensive treatise on Kansas annexation
law that formed the basis for the League of Kansas
